Lets Talk Boots...

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well?

I am literally the worst at this whole blog writing thing these days. My life has turned all to Instagram I have to admit. I don't know whether its because I feel you get more of an audience or whether its simply because people just aren't reading blog posts anymore. What do you think?

Anyway it has come to my favourite time of season for fashion...Autumn. From the big knit jumpers, to dresses with thick tights, to big coats, to the choice of boots you get. Because let's face it footwear in Autumn I feel play a BIG part of making an outfit. But my ultimate favourite style of boots at the moment & that I found myself a sucker for is biker boots! I think I own 3 pairs of them!

Biker boots can literally make any outfit. You can team them with any outfit. From leather trousers & a chunky knit jumper, to a playsuit with thick tights & a coat, to a tea dress teamed with tights or without. There is not an outfit I could not think that they wouldn't suit when it comes to an everyday style outfit choice. Can you?

My go to,to wear them with & my favourite is leather trousers, a chunky turtle neck jumper & a faux fur gilet. That is one cute outfit right there.

My recent biker boots I found with CuCu fashion. I looked through their new in section & found several ankle boots to choose from!
But I fell in love with the Coppa Black Biker boots They are a patent style boot with black studs to the boots, along with tie ups & a zip done the sides. They are such a gorgeous style of biker boot that I will be teaming up with loads of outfits!

I would definitely check them out as they have a big choice from boots, to shoes, to heels to sandals or even chunky trainers which I also love at the minute.

I mean have a look for yourself below & see for yourself...

Summer Outfits To Kill

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are well?

It has been a while since I have actually wrote a blog post I have to say!

Most of my time is focused on my Instagram page now I will admit. I just find it more active with viewers than the old fashioned reading of blog posts. Or is that just me?

Anyway this weather & this time of year is the best!
I am such a sun baby I have to say. It always makes your mood & everything else so much better.
Plus I find the outfits & clothes can be better to pick. From the colours, style & other things.

During the summer I normally tend to team a summery top up with ripped jeans. Especially when the weather isn't quite hot for shorts or a cloudy weather day. Then it is my go to choice. The summer evenings can also be cool still so sometimes a thin cotton shirt or blouse can be a good choice.

I was looking around for something that would fit that category & come across Just Your Outfit on Instagram. They are an online fashion brand with such a choice of clothes & also more importantly affordable! Which is a must when shopping for clothes. They can also be found on ASOS market place where you can make a purchase from them, they also sell male clothes too.

So I picked from them a white embroidered tassel embellished shirt. The shirt is so light & thin which is perfect for those summer evenings or a cooler summer day. Plus the embroidered front makes it different that just a plain shirt & gives though boho kind of vibes which is what summer outfits sometimes need. Teamed with a pair of jeans, flip flops & the right accessories it makes such a great outfit! Effortless, simple but cute! Plus the shirt was only £15.

Tinkalink Case

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well & having a good week. I have gone back to work this feet after my foot injury. It is feeling a lot better I have to say. It's not 100% back to normal but getting there.

I am a huge lover of anything personalised! Anything that you can customise & make it your own especially with things like initials I love!

So when I came across the brand Tinkalink I absolutely loved it!
Tinkalink lets you create a personal & protective case for your iphone. Which enables you to put charms inside & slide a lens over the charms to case them in. Which you can leave loose to float within the case or stick them down. You can make your case your own & thats what I love about it because you can forever change the case to how you want it to suit your style.

The cases are available for iphones 5/5S/5SE, Iphone 6/6s, Iphone 7, Iphone 8, Iphone 6/6s/7/8plus.

You start by picking a case which is like the outer edging for the phone, these come in several different colours:

*Frosty white
*Seal Black
*Pop Pink
*Peppermint
*Aqua doll

Then you pick a background skin for your case which come in all lots of plain, glitter or other print, for example:

*Rose gold glitter
*Silver glitter
*Diva pink glitter
*Green camo
*Blue camo
*Pop pink
*Peppermint

& other colours, then lastly you pick some charms to add to it. These come in either silver or gold, they cover things like hearts large, medium & small in size, girl & boy figures, animals, stars large, medium & small in size, wishbones, letters & many other charms.

I just love how you can make it your own & change it up whenever you want.

I chose the frosty white case, along with the rose gold glitter skin & my initials CM & a medium size heart all in gold. The case was easy to put together & looks gorgeous it really is unlike anything I have seen.

They can be purchased online, Selfridges & Fenwicks's.

Travel Socks

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well & having a good week.
I cannot get over this weather at the moment! It is so so warm! I like the warm weather & the sunshine but this is a bit on the extreme side especially when you have to go to work still.

As you normally know I usually tend to talk about beauty products but not this time. This is on a bit of a different subject!

I love a snazzy & different pair of socks. I know in this weather currently it's not something we need to worry about but when the winter comes I love to have different socks. Who likes to just have normal plain socks right? Not me I like ones with different designs & patterns. Especially Disney I will admit I'm abit of a sucker for them!

I recently come across a website Travel Socks.
Travel socks offer a range of different brand of socks all with fab colours & designs/patterns! There literally is a pair of socks for everyone. Whether it's knee highs, ankle socks, patterned, spotty, stripy. You name it there is a design for you for both men's & ladies.

I picked two different pairs of socks from two different brands but both with heart style patterns.

The first brand I chose was Sokisahtel
From them I picked a cute heart striped ankle sock with a love heart heel. I found these super cute. They are white, with navy blue stripes & hearts, then a white heel with a red heart at the back.

The second brand I chose was Soxo.
From them I picked again a ankle sock. This time pink in colour with white hearts all over the sock.

Both of these socks I think are super cute! They are girly & something much better than just a plain sock. I mean why have a boring pair of socks for each day?

I found the prices on Travel Socks very reasonable. I know some places I have looked at before have been quite expensive for what you are getting. So I was very happy when I came across the prices. I found the delivery quick & the service that I received was great. I could not fault the whole process.

I would definitely recommend them!

What Do You Wear For A Wedding In A Different Culture?

Hello Everyone,
Hope your week is going well.
My blog today is abit more of a topic post.
What do you wear for a wedding in a different culture?

Once the excitement of receiving a wedding invitation has worn off, it’s time to start planning your outfit. Choosing a guest outfit for a wedding in the UK is hard enough, but what about if you’ve been invited to a wedding of a different culture? Together with Charles Tyrwhitt, retailers of men’s slim fit shirts, we look at how the dress code of a wedding changes depending on the background of the newlyweds.

What will the bride be wearing?
Brides are known in the UK for their flattering white dresses, accompanied by a long train and veil. But how do our own bridal traditions compare to India, Japan and China?

India
In India, the lady’s dress depends on the region of India that they’re from. In some regions, the bride wears a saree which is a garment that looks like a long drape, in others she wears a lehenga which is a long skirt. Often the bride is dressed in red or another vibrant colour, her garments will be carefully embroidered with an impressive design.
The bride and her bridal party often have henna on their palms, hands, forearms and legs.

Japan
Japanese weddings are very elaborate and it is acceptable for families to spend close to £75,000 on a wedding day. It is often the parents of the couple who organise the wedding, and they are willing to spend excessive amounts to save face. Because of the large scale of the weddings, the bride can have as many as 5 costume changes
At a traditional (Shinto) wedding, the bride wears a white kimono, but more recently Japanese brides wear a dress that has a traditional print.

China
In China, it is likely that the bride will be dressed in red as it is considered a sign of good luck that can warn off evil spirits. In some regions, typically in northern China, the traditional attire for a bride is a one-piece dress that is embroidered with gold and silver designs. In southern China, the typical wear is a two-piece frock.
A bridal crown is part of the wedding costume for some brides too – it is worn for photography or for show at a grand occasion. For footwear, a special pair of shoes are often worn that are embroidered with a symbol — for example, a turtle or a deer which symbolises happiness and longevity.

What will the groom be wearing?
The men often have traditional dress codes that they are expected to follow – however, many of them are opting for a smart suit similar to how a groom in the UK would dress.

India
Similar to the women, it depends on what region of India the groom is from as to what they wear. Some husbands-to-be wear traditional dress, such as a dhoti which is a rectangular cloth ties around the waist. In other regions, they wear a sherwani (a long coat), a kurta (loose falling shirt that hangs below the knee), or a Western suit.
The men also have henna on their bodies but it is less elaborate and often hidden.

Japan
Traditionally, a Japanese groom wears a wedding kimono for the ceremony and then changes into a tuxedo. The formal kimono that he wears is called a montsuki, and often displays the family crest. More recently, younger grooms start the ceremony in a tuxedo too.

China
In China, the husband-to-be traditionally wears a black silk coat over an embroidered robe. Often, in the modern day, the overcoat is not worn.
The groom has to wear certain headwear too – this is usually a black hat with a red tassel. Some younger generations are not following the traditional dress code and simply wear a tuxedo or a Western-style business suit.

What should the guests wear?
It can be difficult to choose an outfit as a guest, as there are many traditions and symbols that you may be unaware of and you don’t want to offend anyone.

India
At an Indian wedding, the bolder your outfit is the better. Wearing vibrant colours will mean you fit in with the Indian guests. Guests should avoid white or black as these are colours worn for funerals and mourning in India. It is also advised that red is not worn either as the bride will probably be dressed in this colour.
Women guests should not bare their shoulders, wear low cut tops or short skirts as this can be seen as disrespectful — a jewel-tone dress with a shawl is one appropriate outfit. The Indian female guests will most likely be dressed in colourful sarees or anarkali suits. Jewellery is important for women too, choose a statement piece for around your neck with matching earrings and bangles.
Men often wear a tailored kurta with a pyjama and a dupatta (shawl) can be added over the kurta. For their feet, sandals, jootis or chappals are often worn as these are comfortable and prevent overheating.
Guests might also be expected to cover their heads if the wedding is held in a temple. For this, women can wear a long scarf or pashmina over their heads and men are usually provided with a head cover such as a large handkerchief.
An Indian wedding is often a long drawn out event (it could be three days long!) so make sure you are wearing something loose and comfortable.

Japan
At a traditional Japanese wedding, men were expected to be dressed very formally with a black suit and white tie. Now however, the dress code is more flexible and it is accepted for men to come dressed in suits other than black with various coloured ties. However, it is advised to avoid white clothes with black ties.
Women often wear dresses that are knee length or a coloured kimono to take on a traditional look. It is best to avoid showing any shoulder as this can be deemed a disrespectful.

China
When dressing for a Chinese wedding, avoid wearing red as this can be seen as trying to steal the limelight from the bride. It’s best to wear pink, peach or purple as these are all symbols of new life and happiness. A formal dress is suitable for a Chinese wedding.
Colours to avoid include black and white, as these symbolise mourning and black is considered to be the colour of bad luck.

Take care

Unique Jewellery Ideas

Good Evening Everyone!

What a week it has been so far I have been so busy but it is making the week go so quickly. I cannot believe that it is Wednesday already tomorrow & we will be half way through the week. Doesn't seem at all possible. Does anyone else feel like that?

I also collect my new glasses on Sunday which I am looking forward to. I am hoping they will ease my headaches. Plus they are so lovely! I can't wait to wear them.

As you may all know here in the UK it is Mothering Sunday, this Sunday (26th). If your mothers are anything like mine they can be so hard to buy for. Which can make things hard work. But I do feel like you really cannot go wrong with jewellery pieces. There are some lovely pieces out there but I do like delicate pieces. Whether it be for myself or for a gift for others.

I recently come across a brand called Kaytie Wu
Kaytie Wu relaunched in 2015 by a UK jewellery designer. Kayte happens to have a vast experience in jewellery & fashion & has created an amazing contemporary brand. But not only that she is also an independent woman who has created her own business & succeeded in it i believe. The pieces from their collections are beautiful. They are minimalist, delicate & unique. The collections are presented in fine gold or silver plating with use of delicate Austrian crystals. There is a sister brand to Kaytie Wu also: Kaytie Kaytie Wu. This brand also follows in the same style of designs of Kaytie Wu however unique shapes & a flora series has also been incorporated. Plus also pieces also include sterling silver & CZ stones.

I fell in love with the Kaytie Kaytie Wu flora collection. The pieces were so beautiful. As the name states the collection has a floral design based around it. The collection comprises of stud earrings, a pendant & also a ring. All which have a floral design to the pieces. The pendant & ring come with a floral design & have a small CZ stone featured on them. The stud earrings however are just a simple floral shape but equally as stunning! They would make any outfit look that little bit more complete.

I am not a huge fan of gold jewellery on myself & I prefer just costume jewellery to be in gold. So I tend to choose them more in silver. So I purchased the Flora pendant & earrings. I did not get the ring because I am not one to wear rings.

When the pieces arrived I was so amazed by not only the quality of them but also how unique they are. All of the items are like no other jewellery brand I have come across. The items come packaged beautifully in branded boxes & also come with certificates of authenticity. This includes how to care for them. They are not to be 24/7 like in the shower, to the gym etc. Moisture & chemicals can spoil its colour & finish.

There are so many more jewellery pieces like I love I could of spent a fortune! Not only that but they are also reasonably priced so whether you are purchasing for yourself or a gift they are perfect.

You can browse their beautiful collection at:

Little Handmade Treasure

Good Evening everyone!

The weekend is now almost upon us! yay!

I am so glad about this. To me this week seems to have gone on abit. It has different been one of those funny weeks you could say. I do feel a bit deflated this week I have to say. It's been one of those weeks were personal things in my life have kind of hit me & I just feel drained. But onwards & upwards.
I definitely have a more positive approach on things these days though than what I used to. For anyone that know me on a personal level or has read through my blog at the start will know I battled with severe depression & anxiety for some time & have been very open about it because I think more people should talk about it because it is more common than you think. I have been on medication for a while now & due to my yo-yoing moods & things I was kept on it. But over the past few weeks my dosage has been lowered & for once I am actually starting to feel in control.

Anyway as you may have worked out before I am a lover of jewellery. I am not one for wearing a lot of it at once but I love to wear a watch, bracelet & necklace mostly. I think a bracelet teamed with a watch just makes it complete.

Recently I have quite started to like something with a bit of bohemian style. More so when it comes to bracelets.

I first come across Ren 92 on instagram & fell in love with some of their pieces because to me they are different than other styles of jewellery that are about. I found their jewellery was unique & bohemian handmade. The bracelet I get I love! Especially teamed up with my iwatch or white Michael Kors watch.

Ren92 is a UK based company who focus on selling handmade crystal &
gemstone jewellery & other spiritual gifts. The company was started in 2014 so it is a pretty new company. They started it & then stopped it but started it up again in mid 2015. Changing its name & logo. Plus also making the jewellery more different.

Their bracelets are made up of chipped gemstones or raw nuggets so not one bracelet will ever be exactly the same.

I chose the Howlite with flower beads. I absolutely love the marble effect. I have had a thing for marble for a little while.Plus I love the look of bead bracelets. They are simple yet cute I think. I think the little gold flowers to the bracelet also give it an extra bit of detail.

All their jewellery are a reasonable price too considering they are handmade & of a different style. Which I don't mind paying a little bit more for anyway being handmade pieces.

I definitely have my eye on a few other pieces from here too!

Little Unique Piece

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all well? So Monday is here & gone already.
Just like the weekend did, I swear you really do blink & the weekend just goes. I didn't have an overly busy weekend but I did take a trip to lakeside for abit of retail therapy. As always it does make you feel good. The primark is just amazing! It's massive! You could literally get lost in there. I did get a fair bit I will admit. But hey I think I jolly well deserved a treat.

As you may know from a previous blog post of mine I am a big lover of jewellery.
I like more personal pieces & unique ones. As opposed to ones you pick up in say a normal kind of jewellers like beaver brooks & things. I like to have pieces that not everyone has & you can personalise if you wish to.

Recently I've come across a brand called Yasmin Marie. Which I found the pieces of jewellery to be so unique which I absolutely love! The brand hasn't been running all that long. They officially launched in November 2016. By a lady called Yasmin Marie Tubbritt with her aim to create a brand which was unique, fun & interesting. All their pieces are made with 925 sterling silver & rhodium plating which fits in nicely with the vintage theme which Yasmin takes her inspiration from. I think it works oh so well!

Each piece is designed to give the customer a choice on how they want to wear it. Which means they are very universal. Some people choose not to buy a pendant piece to add to the bracelets. They buy the bracelet. Remove the stoppers & just wear it plain. Or it can be worn with a pendant you purchase by being added to the bracelet like a charm. But the great thing is you can simply buy one pendant or more & add it to the bracelet to create a charm bracelet look. Which  I love about the collections because I love charm bracelets. It's like building a piece of new jewellery which tells a story of you or that you want to tell. Necklaces can also be taken apart & the pendant can be removed & added to a bracelet. So you basically get to customise your own piece & make it unique to you & I just love that idea that not one piece is the same.

Items can be brought together as a set or as individuals. Depending on what you are looking for. So you can purchase a standard bracelet & then buy the pendant that you want to add to it or buy the necklace & then add the pendant you wish to it. You really can mix it up & style it just how you wish to.

It's such a unique style & way of things! The designs are nothing like I've seen from any other company. I think anyone who creates a business of their own from scratch & has amazing ideas & strive to dream big about their company is amazing. I truly do. It's people like that who I think we should support more. The smaller businesses & help make their dream come true. I much rather would buy from smaller businesses now as opposed to big brands. Because the quality of the products, the customer service you receive is more pleasant, you help support their own dream & the products are more unique & not massed produced. I know what I'd much rather. I just really wish more people would.

The piece I fell in love with was the bracelets. Like I mentioned earlier I love charm bracelets so to me they stood out. I choose the  classic bracelet with the floral key pendant. Simply because it's such a beautiful design & I am definitely a sucker for floral patterns. It is just beautiful! The key pendant has a dainty floral design to the middle of the key. Which a crystal located at the top of link that goes on the bracelet. Also two stoppers which keep the pendant in place & from slipping off the bracelet. So like a safety net.

I literally am in love with the piece & have had so many comments about it from people. It definitely makes amazing arm candy!

I will definitely be adding to my collection & building it up. Especially when more pendants become available. They are a brand worth looking out for because I truly believe they are going to be big!

You can find the gorgeous jewellery at:

www.yasminmarie.com

Instagram: yasminmariejewellery

You really have to check them out! They are perfect for a treat for yourself or for a gift for someone.

Take care,
