Reseed Haircare

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well?

I have come across a new hair care range called Reseed
Reseed are a hair loss brand which focus on 3 main things:

* Prevent further hair loss

* Restore hair follicles to their normal function to promote & support natural hair growth.

*Strengthen weak & dormant follicles to regrow healthy hair, helping to reverse the effects of hair loss

Their products are formulated with the purest ingredients such as clean herbal fragrances. They are also not tested on animals or use ingredients that have been either.

I got from them a shampoo & conditioner to try.

Ginkgo & Sabal Fortifying Shampoo

Packed with pro vitamins & minerals this is a ultra nourishing shampoo which contains active ingredients to cleanse away substances that can block your hair follicles. It also restores the hairs structural fibres. The Ginkgo Biloba extract revitalises hair while Sabal extract promotes hair growth. It is also packed with antioxidant vitamins, it strengthens hair & prevents hair loss.

Wheatbran Ultra Volume Conditioner

This is an advanced ultra volumising formula to help densify, thin, damaged & dry hair. It's enriched with herbal proteins to strengthen hair, also combined with UV filters & colour protecting vibrancy. It's a deeply hydrating & nourishing to prevent hair breakage. The conditioner leaves your hair feeling strong & healthy.

Both the shampoo & conditioner smell lovely & leave your feeling clean after them. The other great thing I do like is the fact they are not heavy products & do not leave your hair feeling horrible after using them. As some products can leave your hair feeling unwashed.

Pureplex Hair Care

Hello everyone!

I hope you are well & had a lovely weekend?

Previously on one of my blog posts I have spoke about a hair care brand that I started using Knight & Wilson. I was impressed with the quality & affordability of it.  So when I saw they had brought out a dupe of the celebrities favourite Olaplex. I had to give it a try!

The Pureplex range covers a shampoo, conditioner & 10 new bond reconstruction colour cream shades.

Pureplex Shampoo & conditioner* has been designed for daily use to help damaged, coloured & highlighted or chemically treated hair. It is formulated with Aminofix bond reconstruct or, which is a sulphate free shampoo which helps the hair’s natural structure rebuild & also protects it from harm in the future, It restores the hair & strengthens it to help improve your hairs quality.

The shampoo is packed with Shea butter, argan oil (one of my favourites) & Panthenol to help nourish & hydrate your hair. It also helps to lock in your hair colour & contains UV filters.

Our hair is made up of Keratin which is a protein composed of amino acids. When colouring & lightening the proteins can be destroyed, which weakens the hair structure & causes breakage. The Aminofix bond technology replaces the lost amino acids & helps to rebuild the hair’s natural keratin structure.

All you do is use the shampoo & conditioner as part of your daily hair care routine as you would your usual hair care products. Apply the shampoo to wet hair & gently massage it in, rinse thoroughly & then towel dry your hair. Then apply the conditioner leave it on for a minute & then rinse thoroughly.

You can find the range in Superdrug for just £7.99 each, the colour shades are also £7.99 each. They also do a hair treatment which is £12.99.

You can find them at:

*These items were gifted products to me to try & review from a PR company.

Summer Hair Styling

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well & the week is treating you well?
My weekend has been a quiet one to say the least. I am trying to get my head back together & taking some time out to have some me. Which I think is very much needed at the moment to repair myself.

I cannot believe me are nearly at the end of January already!
How is this even possible?! Time is literally flying past it is actually pretty scary.

So before we know it the summer will be here & we all know for the summer months we want that perfect well kept hair which can be hard work. But that could change with the use of the best products possible to try & keep your hair as healthy as possible.

Knight & Wilson have brought out a new collection which is all cruelty free
They are grouped into four steps, so you simply pick the best group for you & it will help to keep your hair the best it can.

The new range is called Style Freedom which has been created by the hair experts at Knight & Wilson which are a British company who also launched Colour Freedom which are popular for their vibrant & metallic hair colourants. The latest range Style Freedom is exclusive to Superdrug!

The 4 ranges are:

*Foundation - A range more for hair repair & care

*Creation - A range for styling based range for volume, waves & sleekness

*Finish - A range to control fizz & add shine

*Revival - A range perfect for anyone with curls & wanting to add texture to their hair

So for me I found the best suited range for me was the foundation simply because my hair is quite dry & can get knotty after washing it so the extra TLC can be needed.

The foundation range contains:

Hair Detox Kit -

The kit contains 2 parts:

Part 1 - Purifier which is infused with green tea & citrus to help remove any impurities & product build up.

Part 2 - Revitaliser which replishes & nourishes the hair with Shea Butter & Vitamin E so strengthen & vitalise it.

This kit is perfect for all hair types.

Rejuvenating Vitamin Oil

The oil helps to store vitality to the hair. It can be used on any hair type. It's a light weight oil which is perfect to ensure it doesn't make your hair greasy as I can find some oils make my hair look greasy after using it. This rejuvenating vitamin oil is perfect for long, dry or damaged hair as it helps strengthen, smooth & nourish it. It can be applied to both wet or dry hair.
The oil contains:

*Vitamins A & E
*Argan Oil

Detangler

We can all sometimes end up with tangles in our hair after washing it. This is a leave in conditioner which is easy to use. You apply it to washed, towel dried hair, spraying it evenly through your hair. Then just simply comb your hair.
The spray is:

*Parafen Free
*Non Greasy
*Leaves no build up

Heat Shield

This is the perfect product for anyone who uses hair straightening irons, tongs or hairdryers. Heat can cause damage to your hair so it is important to use a heat protection spray. This spray acts as a primer on the hair to give protection against styling products. It is silicone free which helps to hydrate & protect your hair in one step to help keep it healthy & protected. You apply it to washed or damp hair & spray it through your hair & then comb it through & continue to blow dry it or style it as you wish.

You can find all 4 ranges at your local superdrug or online at:

Superdrug

All the product descriptions are tagged so you can simply click on them & it will take you to the product on Superdrug website.

Take care

Poker Straight Hair

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all having a good week. Half way there now till the weekend.
I went back to work this week after having a week off, it always feel like you have never had time off once you go back.

I don't know whether I have previously discussed on my blog about my hair?
I have naturally curly & wavy hair, from a baby I had naturally curly hair as in ringlets kind of curly. I thought as I got older it may grow out of my hair a bit but it hasn't. The longer my hair has grown the more curly/wavy it has got. Especially the underneath of my hair it still to this day ends up with ringlets. It can be pretty annoying but I think I have grown use to it by now. So as you can imagine trying to find hair straighteners that actually keep my hair straight & don't dry & frazzle the ends can be hard.

I have pretty much always sworn by GHD's to the point I would not buy any other hair straighteners than them. But I have recently decided to try & find a different brand of straighteners for a fraction of the price because you can buy other beauty & hair products for half the price of brand names so why shouldn't you be able to find a cheaper priced hair straighteners?

So I come across a brand called Xtava, who are an American brand. They strive to make every day a perfect hair day. They have a hair tool to suit everyone! Whether you want to achieve poker straight hair, curly locks or create that perfect blow dry look. They provide salon grade quality products which you can use in your own home.

I come across the Xtava pro satin infrared straightener. Which I found to have great reviews on their website of them. Where people had said "it works great on thick curly hair, it's one of the best straighteners they have used". Over 100 great reviews! So they definitely sounded good.

The Xtava help to lock in moisture, protect your hair cuticles & adds silkiness & shine to your hair that lasts all day. Regular heat damages the surface of your hair which can cause frizz but with these infrared rays it works by penetrating the innermost layer of the strands. Which heats them from the inside to the outside.  This means it causes less stress to your hair to make it look healthier & shinier. Leaving it stress free.

They also have a variable heat temperature so you can adjust the heat setting to whatever you want. You can change between 130 degrees to 230 degrees. The great quality ceramic heater enables the flat iron to reach maximum temperature within 90 seconds & allows for quick heat up recovery. Most importantly they have an auto shut off function so it turns off when they have been left unattended.

From just the first use I was so so impressed with the shine & the straightness that they give! I didn't really know what to expect but after seeing its results I was very impressed with my choice & the results they gave me. Especially when my hair is so curly. It left my hair feeling smooth, silky & straight.

For the price they are a bargain & half the price of GHD's!

You can find them on Amazon or Xtrava at:

Because Your Hair Needs TLC Too

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather! I cannot believe how beautiful the weather is & how much happier it makes you feel! That isn't just me is it?

I have spent my day today actually indoors. My wardrobe has finally defeated me & it really did need a ruthless sort out! I have so so many clothes, shoes & bags. It's actually crazy. But it has been a productive day at that so I cannot complain. Plus now it means I can actually see what clothes I have & I still have a good supply still so I'm still winning :)

I don't know about you but in the summer time period my hair can become pretty dried out from the sun & things. Especially if you go on holiday & you are in & out of the pool every day or sunbathing & things. It really can take its toll on your hair.So I do really try to use the best products on my hair to help give it that extra moisture it needs. Especially as you may have seen a previous post of mine that I suffer from Trichotillomania (TTM for short as it is known. Which is a hair pulling disorder which is an impulse kind of thing. So for me it is extra important to give my hair what it needs.

An absolute favourite ingredient I love to have in my hair products is Argan Oil. I love the stuff it always leaves my hair feeling so soft & shiny & also helps with its condition. It is a great property to have in your hair care range too if you are looking to help grow your hair & keep it strong.

Because if I use the same haircare products for too long my hair tends to get used to it so I have to often mix up my products & try new ones. So my hair products which I have started to use now are by Dr Schedu Berlin.

Dr Schedu Berlin help give you that salon quality hair care products at affordable prices. Their products contain highly effective ingredients which give great results. Not only that but the products do not contain harmful substances. They are 100% silicone free, paraben free, paraffin free, as well as free from ammonia and they are 100% animal cruelty free!

I chose two different shampoo's which I have so far tried one of them & I have to say after washing my hair it makes it feel so clean, soft & fresh. Not only that but also smelling so nice!

The shampoo's I go were:

Argan Oil & Jojoba Oil
This leaves your hair looking healthier. The Argan Oil, Aloe Vera and Jojoba Oil leave your hair with a long lasting glow. It helps strengthen lifeless & weak hair. It contains lots of vitamins & minerals to give your hair the extra moisture it needs. But the Argan oil leaves your hair feeling soft and smooth.

Keratin Collagen Shampoo
This shampoo is great for all hair types. Its formula contains mild silicon free cleansers which help to leave your hair looking healthy. The high keratin content gives you hair that extra moisture it needs. But also the shampoo contains dead sea minerals which supply your hair with calcium, magnesium & sodium to help give your hair the elasticity it needs & also leave it more manageable. It surrounds each hair shaft like a film & the collagen treats fine breaks in the hair to help increase your hairs volume, smoothness & protection.

With regards to conditioner I got just the one of these to try:

Keratin Collagen Conditioner
So this conditioner is from the same range as the Keratin Collagen shampoo I purchased. The conditioner contains a high content of keratin, collagen, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Argan Oil & Panthenol. It helps give your hair the extra moisture it needs & gives it a natural glow. It is also meant to help dramatically smoothen, soften & make your hair more healthier. It also contains high ratios of vitamins & Jojoba oil which help to repair damaged ends & protect against any further damage.

Then lastly I got two products which I always use in my haircare range. Which are an intense hair mask & an oil. So from Dr Schedu Berlin I got:

Keratin Collagen Intensive Treatment
Again this is from the same range as the Shampoo & conditioner I got. But this treatment is something I would only use like once or twice a week just to give my hair that extra care it needs. Like the other products from this range it contains the same ingredients just this treatment is a bit more intense.

100% Pure Argan Oil
This is 100% pure Argan oil which has been extracted without any use of chemicals. It contains a high number of vitamins to help keep both your hair & skin healthy. It helps to nourish your skin, nails and hair. You can use this oil undiluted by applying directly to the scalp, face, neck, hair & nails twice a day. To use it with your hair care routine you can add a small amount to your shampoo, conditioner, or hair treatment to give it that extra content.

I have to say I am so so impressed with the products I have used to far. The quality of them is so good, the smell of the product is just a basic clean sweet smell but they leave your hair feeling so soft, smooth & well conditioned. So if you are like me & have quite dry, hard to manage hair this is perfect for you. But if you don't there truly is something from their ranges to suit you!

You can find them their products at:

Salon Science Hair Care

19:14pm
Good Evening everyone!
I hope you are all having a fab week so far! I cannot believe we are half way through the week already! This week is going so fast! & I am also lucky enough to be off work next week too as I had holiday to use up.

Today in the post I received a lovely package from Salon Science. Which offer a range of hair care products. From helping with  hair growth, radiance, hydration & other issues. So any issues you have with your hair they do something that helps. I have heard of the brand before but I will be honest I haven't tried any of their products.

When it comes to shampoo's & conditioners I do often have to change what I have because if I use the same brand for too long it stops becoming effective on my hair & just tends to make it feels greasy & unpleasant. Then it just feels like you had need not of bothered washing it. Is that just my hair or is anyone else like that?

For anyone that has followed my blog for a while, well mostly from the start or on some previous posts they would know that I have openly spoken about my battle with depression & anxiety. Which is now under control but obviously like any other human being I do have my off dark days. But not only that now I seem to suffer from a condition called Trichotillomania. For those of you who don't know what this is it is an impulse-control disorder, a psychological condition where the person is unable to stop themselves carrying out a particular action. So they pull out their hair or eyelashes, eyebrows or something. But for me mine is my hair. I cannot tell you why I do it but I do. It has become such a habit that I cannot get out & it also made me feel self conscious about my hair.  Because it places it doesn't seem to grow as well as maybe it does in other places. At times I don't even know I'm doing it, I just sit then & start doing it. It's such a horrible thing to have & try & get out of. I have found it to be more of a common thing that people now open up about. Even Sam Faiers opened up about her issue with the condition which made her pull out her eye lashes. So I know I am not alone when it comes to suffering from this but I just wish there was a way of stopping myself! I think it started when at primary school & I went through a stage of being bullied & I started doing it but at that point it was really bad to the point I'd pull out clumps of hair & be left with bald patches so I'd have to have a different parting to cover it. It was at that point my mum took me to the doctors. It stopped for a while but over the years it has come back but as extreme as it was!

So because of this I need to give my hair all the nutrients & help it can get to be healthy, strong & help it grow in anyway I can. So the range from Salon science is the Proaccelerant treatment range. This range helps encourage hair growth, helps reduce hair loss, restores your hair to help it be stronger & healthier & helps make your hair thicker & fuller in 3 months. So these things are all the ideal things I need. I have never actually purchased a hair range targeted at hair loss & encouraging hair growth before so I am excited to see the results of this range.

I have got the shampoo, conditioner & also treatment which comes in two bottles. You apply the treatment to dry or towel dried hair twice a day. You apply the nozzle directly to the scalp & apply the treatment in sections. You have to ensure the scalp is covered,  then massage it into the scalp to help stimulate the circulation. Then you simply leave it in.

All of Salon Science ranges can be purchased from your local boots or boots online.

I will be sure to keep you posted on how I get on with the hair care range. It could be a great help to help my hair. But for those of you who suffer from Trichotillomania don't feel ashamed! You aren't the only one to suffer from it & you certainly won't be the last. But just try to keep busy as I find that helps. The less time I have to just sit there or when I'm around people I tend not to do it. But if you do feel like you can't discuss it with others & you want advice or to talk about it just contact me through Instagram: lottiejessica & I am always happy to talk about it if you have any questions or whatever. I used to be ashamed of my issues but over time I think I have just got more open about it because it's more common than you think.

Hair care struggle

20:07pm
Here we are at the start of a new week once again. I swear I blink & the weekends just disappear!
Does anyone else feel like that, or is that just me? Then it's back to the Monday morning struggling to get out of bed & back to work. Well for me the Monday-Friday office job it certainly is. But I cannot complain getting weekends as my time.

I think one thing I haven't ever blogged about before is hair care items. I have not once mentioned about products I use or like. I think there is a reason behind that, that no one actually really knows to be honest because it's not really something I don't think I've ever really spoken about to anyone but my family. But recently thanks to another blogger I have realised I'm not the only one to suffer from it....

For people that have read my blog, or know me know I have suffered from anxiety & depression for some time. It is nothing like it used to me months ago but at times I do struggle to come to terms with it & to me it's like a ticking time bomb I just don't know when it's going to happen again & it's going to reoccur. I've learnt how to deal with it & what to do to channel my thoughts into something else but it can still be difficult especially if things in my life seen a mess. But also from a young age (as long as I can remember,I think it was in primary school in fact)  I was bullied. From that day it first started I started pulling my hair out so bad I used to pull clumps of hair out in stress. My mum took me to the doctors & I was given a cream to help make it regrown & I had to wear my hair in a different parting to cover up the patch of hair missing. My hair did regrown but since then I have seemed to have struggled in leaving my hair alone & I do admit I pull strands of it out. It is called Trichotillomania, which is an impulse-control disorder, a psychological condition where the person is unable to stop themselves carrying out a particular action. I think that is why now my hair takes so long to grow & is shorter on one side. It's such a bad habit to get into & also a hard one to stop. I cannot even tell you as to why I even do it I just do. I keep wanting to try & find something to stop it or find a shampoo which can help hair regrowth abit at least. I do not have patches missing I just struggle in my hair growing quickly due to the strain I've put on my hair. So I guess that is why I don't really speak of hair care stuff at all. Because I do not really like my hair & also the struggle of Trichotillomania is pretty embarrassing to admit. Because I just feel it's something else people will think I'm odd for & abit of a freak. But I guess these things need to be spoken of in order to help.

I love the find a good shampoo & conditioner. I have tried out several brands before & yes I do change my shampoo & conditioner often because if I use the same one too often for too long it makes my hair start going greasy & it seems to stop helping my hair & just makes it feel disgusting!

I have before come across a brand OGX, I used the argan oil of Morocco after coming across it in boots on a 3 for 2 offer. I had never used argan oil before but it made my hair feel so soft & clean after. I also have pretty wavy, thick, wirey feel hair. The slightest bit of moisture in the air & that's it my hair goes poofy & no longer stays straight after straightening it. It can be so very annoying! Especially after spending so long on it. But this shampoo helped keep it less frizzy & also made it easier after blow drying it not to feel so full & thick. So recently as my hair is pretty dry I have come across another from the OGX range - Coconut water. I'm not a fan of coconut to eat but that smell of it I do not mind.
I got the shampoo, conditioner & also hydrating oil. All in the coconut water range. The coconut water is meant to help rehydrate & supercharge your hair to transform dry, parched hair into silky, shiny perfection! So this sounds perfect to try & rehydrate my hair!
I cannot wait to get trying this! The shampoo & conditioner you as you normally would any other, & the hydration oil you spray on damp hair after you have washed it, ensuring you spray it evenly & then blow dry. You can also spray a mist all over after to help add shine to your hair.

I shall definitely keep you posted on how it does to my hair!
Is there anyone else who suffers with Trichotillomania? If so have you got any tips how you cope or what shampoo you use if it is a special one?

Take care,
Love Lottie
