Love Me Beauty

It has been a while since I have posted! I really do go through phases in writing often & not. But life lately has just got in the way. What with work, mother's day & other things. But I am back & ready to write more to share things with you all :)

Now girls we all love a good subscription for beauty & make up products to try before we commit to buying like the full size versions of them. I have tried many subscription boxes; glossybox & birchbox. But for a while I have been trying to find something a bit different which includes products of the brands I love. Like OPI, benefit, just to name a few. So when I came across Love Me Beauty I was SO happy!

Love me beauty is a subscription of a different level for both beauty & make up products. It takes 3 easy steps too:

Step 1) You create a profile for yourself. Tell them of your beauty interests & they create the best recommendations for you!

Step 2) Browse through the months different products to choose from. You get to customise your order which is done monthly.

Step 3) All the products are then handpicked & delivered to your front door for you to try & review!


There are 3 different memberships to choose from.

* Rolling monthly membership: £10(per month) + £3.95 p&p(per month)

*3 Month Membership: £9(per month) + £3.95 p&p (per month)

So this month I received some amazing products from my Love Me Beauty. When the goods arrived I was in love with the make up bag alone! The products came in a make up bag with the quote:

I am such a sucker for a quote & anything with a quote on it. So this bag & this quote is amazing! It's such a true response a comment for us girls.

The items I received were:

Omorovicza Budapest - Copper Peel
This is a foaming two phase peel, which combines with a blue copper paste & an acid activator. It helps to polish & smooth your complexion & helps reduce pore sizes & make your skin brighter & more toned.

Ultra Sun - Face Sun Protection 30 High SPF
This sun protection comes with no perfume, no preservatives.
It helps restore moisture levels & reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It is perfect for sensitive very skin to the sun.

Ultra Sun - Glimmer 20 SPF
I love a shimmery product when I am on holiday & have a tan & this sun lotion contains a shimmer to it. Like the face sun protection it comes with no perfume, no preservatives. It is also perfect for sensitive skin but also give tanned skin that shimmery colour to you sun kissed skin.

Caudalie Vine Active - 3 in 1 moisturiser & Energising and smoothing eye cream
I have wanted to try Caudalie for a while as I have heard so many good things about their skin care range. I love trying new skin care products! I like to find products which help improve my skin condition because to me skin care is important.Both of these products you apply morning and evening. 

Ellis Faas - Creamy Lips, Hot lips, Glazed lips, Milky lips
These came as 4 different samples, so four different shades.
Glazed lips: Shade L304 - Sheer Orange
Hot Lips: Shade L403 - Bright Fuchsia
Milky Lips: Shade L207 - Nude Pink 
Creamy Lips: Shade L101 - Ellis Red

These are a combination of different lipsticks. From pigmented colours, long wearing & other properties.

Perricone MD - Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment
This is a new brand coming over to the UK from America. 
It is easy to use you simply apply it to a cotton pad & wipe it over your face. It helps remove all dirt & access oils from your skin before using the next Perricone MD product treatments.

I have started using the Perricone MD Blue plasma cleansing treatment & I am impressed with it so far. I will keep you posted on my review of Perricone MD products as I am using a few of their products at the moment.

What A Lovely Scent!

Happy Wednesday everyone! 
Half way through the working week now & this week has gone pretty quick I think. I think it's partly because I had a half day yesterday & only worked the morning due to needing the afternoon off for personal reasons. But I think it is going by the week.

Like any girl I absolutely love perfume but it can be hard trying to find something you like the smell of or even hard to just try a perfume out without having to commit to the whole bottle. Because lets face it you don't want to spend lots of money on a bottle of perfume that over time you don't actually like the smell of right? Where is the logic in that?

So when I came across Perfume Society I was so amazed!
The Perfume Society tells you everything you need to know about fragrance, the art of perfume, you name it anything you want to know about perfume you can find out about it through Perfume Society. Because they know how hard it is to just go into a shop & find a perfume you like, not only because there are SO many to choose which can completely confuse you. But not anymore with the amazing idea Perfume Society have with their discovery boxes! I never knew such things existed! 

Discovery boxes are available when you sign up as a VIP with the perfume society. This then means you get discovery boxes at a VIP price! You receive 8 digital editions of their magazine "The scented letter", a perfume discovery fragrance education (discovery box), invitations to events that they hold & workshops which are held nationwide. Not only that but you can also purchase limited edition discovery boxes which contain the brands like Shay & Blue, Prada & many others!

The boxes come with so many different types of scents depending on what kind of style you like.They do even do boxes for men which is perhaps a great way to find a suitable scent for a loved one. 

For me I like the more floral kind of light scents. 
So I chose to try the Heaven Scents discovery box. 

All the fragrances in the Heaven Scent box are handpicked for the certain type of scent that goes with the boxes name. 
The box come with 8 different fragrances to try along with information cards about each one telling you about the perfume e.g the smelling notes, top notes. But not only that it come with a FULL size Judith William's body lotion & Micallef's 20th year anniversary keyring.

Shay & Blue - Blueberry Musk
Shay & Blue is a perfume house based in London which make glorious fragrances all from the finest hand picked blooms & exotic ingredients from around the world. This perfume like its name has a scent of a burst of blueberries & orange zest smell. So due to the light fresh fruity smell I found this is quiet a lovely day to day style perfume.

M Micallef - 20 years 
The scent of Micallef is again quite a fruity kind of one which also has a twist of roses with it. The fragrance is quite a subtle one not too heavy & again a fresh smell.

Prada Candy Florale
I have the normal Prada Candy myself & I am a huge lover of this perfume. I use it for more of my everyday go to perfume. But find it can also be used for a night out or any occasion. I just love it. So when I saw that the Florale version was in the discovery box I was excited to try it. I found this version of Prada candy is definitely not as sweet like the name it is more floral smelling & does remind me of a bouquet of flowers scent. But I have to say out of the rest of the fragrances in the box it is my favourite! It is such a light floral spring like smell. 

Miller Harris - Noix De Tubereuse
Miller Harris created Tubereuse to add to their collection of fragrances which are inspired by nature. To me this fragrance was quite strong & a bit harsh for myself personally to wear. It was quite a woody harsh kind of scent & I much prefer the softer scents. So for me this wouldn't be something I'd buy for myself.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian - Aqua Celestia
This is the the third perfume from Francis. I have to say I quite like the smell of this one. It's a light fresh blossom kind of scent. Its definitely an everyday kind of perfume. 


Map Of The Heart - Red Heart v.3
This brand was founded by Sarah Blair & Jeffrey Darling. 
This fragrance is another floral based one. It is a sweet aromatic scent of Pineapple Guava which is an exotic Brazilian fruit, along with apple, spices & with a hint of vanilla.

Jimmy Choo - L'eau
I think this one has to be my second favourite. The perfume definitely matches its chic glamourous character. It is a light fragrance of Hibiscus flower blended with bark & fruits. It is such a gorgeous smell & the actual bottle of full size version is enough to make you want it just for the bottle!

Weleda - Jardin De Vie Rose 
This perfume is most definitely from the floral fragrance. It has such a strong scent of rose to it I think. Which I have to say is a pretty pleasant smell. Its a delicate kind of fragrance & perfect for more of a day time wear perfume I think as opposed to night time wear. I think it would be such a lovely home scent too for like a diffuser or candle to burn in the home. 

The box also comes with a book of perfume blotters for you to use when perfume shopping & to try these ones out with. You can write the names of the fragrances you try on them so you don't forget what one you have. You simply spray the perfume at the pointed end, wait a few minutes for the alcohol & top notes to subside then smell. The heart notes & base notes are the scents you are left with & what you enjoy wearing. So if you like the smell at this stage then try it on your skin. That way you can get a better idea of it on you.

I found the box such a great way to try out new perfumes & found out what I like & don't like in perfumes. So you can find new perfumes for you to buy without having to buy the full bottles & also I have several small handbag sized perfumes to carry around in my handbag at all times. I really did not know something so practical & easy existed as a way to try perfumes.

Rub A Dub Dub, Time In The Tub!

Hello Everyone! 

That's the weekend over & done with...
Back to the dreaded monday & back to work we go. Booooo! 
This weekend I have had a quiet but productive weekend. I've done all those little jobs you try to leave & hate doing. So I feel all in all my weekend has been pretty good in that sense.

But it's sunday evening & I am VERY happy that my favourite programme is back to make my sunday nights complete again! Call the midwife! I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. I absolutely love that programme so much. I have been watching the seasons from the start again on netflix. But now i've watched them all again I am ready for it to come back! It really is the little things. You can tell I'm getting old aha.

I love having bath's especially on a sunday when I just want to chill out & unwind. I like to run a nice hot bath, drop a bath bomb in & put some music on & just have a nice long soak. It definitely helps to chill me out.

Until recently I have used bath bombs from Lush cosmetics. Thats it you've got it the shop you can smell when you walk past it. I really love their stuff but I wanted to find a smaller company to try something new. So I started looking about & come across a company called The Barefoot Bath Company. They use 100% natural ingredients, everything is handmade & made in the UK. Plus they do not test on animals either. Which I love! They are also a small family run company too.

I have never seen a subscription box for bath products like this before but The barefoot bath company offer them! You simply pick your bath box or vegan box & select whether you want a monthly subscription or 6 monthly subscription. Your box is then despatched within the first week of the month& delivered safely to your door. You then get to use the amazing handcrafted products! 

The barefoot bath box contains a mixture of handmade products. Which smell divine! 
The box costs just £12 per month plus P&P or you can chose the 6 monthly subscription which is £60 plus P&P & you get one box for free! 

So Januarys box came & it was packed with gorgeous smelling products! One product was totally & not available yet to purchase on their website & it came with a mini print created by Rocks Design which I found was so cute & so true! I love anything with quotes! 

The products in my January box were:

Bath Salts Blend - Which is a therapeutic salt made with epsom salts, colloidal oats & red clay. This is the product that is not yet available to purchase on their website. But it can be used as bath salts or to make up your very own body scrub. I cannot wait to try this! 

Mango Tango Bath Bomb - This bomb has a light fruity mango scent to it, also with a hint of Jasmine. All their bath bomb is made with apricot kernel oil which helps to soften & condition the skin. You simply drop it in your bath & watch it fizz leaving it with a lovely fruity aroma.

Strawberries & Cream Bath Bomb  - This bomb smells so sweet & fruity! Just like strawberry sherbet! All their bath bomb is made with apricot kernel oil which helps to soften & condition the skin. You simply drop it in your bath & watch it fizz leaving it with a lovely fruity aroma.

Lavender Bath Creamer - This product is a more luxurious one. It is a more buttery, creamy texture which smells of pure lavender oil. Which I find lavender to be a lovely relaxing scent. Especially perfect for bedtime! The bath creamer is even topped with blue cornflower petals for an extra touch. The bath creamer releases cocoa butter & sweet almond oil to leave your skin feeling extra smooth & soft! You can even get two or three baths out of it. Simply take it out of the water & put it in some kitchen towel to dry & use it again.

They look too nice to use all of the products they really do!
