I am such a lover of gel nails. They are so much better than normal nail polishes I think. They last longer unlike normal nail polishes which seem to chip after just a couple of days! I find that so annoying. But with gel nail polishes they can last up to 2 weeks & it is just as easy to do yourself!

I hope you are all having a good & productive week. My week has continued to be boring not being able to do a lot due to my foot injury so I cannot wait till it is healed & I can get back to normal.

I have always been a huge lover of Kiss products. Their Impress nails are my ultimate favourite. They come in so many different designs & although they are only glue tabs on them they last at least a week & go strong. I am not a fan of glue on nails simply because I do not like how they leave your nails afterwards so I tend to steer away from them.

I cannot recommend their nails enough! People always compliment me on them too thinking they are real & when you tell them they are simply stick on nails they cannot believe how good they look & also how well they fit to your own nails.

My favourite collection from their nails are the imPress press on manicure - one step gel. They come in many different designs so you are spoilt for choice! No glue is needed you simply clear your nails & file them, then select the right size nail for you, then remove the tab from the back of the glue patch, then simply push it onto your own nail for around 30 seconds. It will then be firmly stuck down! It is that simple & easy to transform your nails.

Another collection of their nails are the gel fantasy which also come in many different designs. These ones come with either glue or glue tabs. Depending on what you want to use. I always tend to go for the glue tabs as I previously advised. So you just select the right size nail & glue tab, peel off one side of the glue tab & stick it to the false nail, then peel off the other side, once you have done this push it down to your natural nail for around 30 seconds. Then ta dah you have transformed your nails!

The other product I am a lover of, of their's is their false lashes! I have tried them before previously & one of them has become my favourite style of lashes! This is little black dress from the Lash Couture faux minx collection. They are subtle but gives you a fuller lash which I love. They are also pretty lightweight so you don't even know you are wearing them.

Natural Summer Nails

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope you have all had a fab weekend?

I hope you are all also safe after the terrible events which happened last night in London. I really do not understand what this world is coming to & how there can be such evil people in this world. It really is disgusting & selfish! I cannot tell you how much it upsets me & angers me. I think it hits you even more when the place is so close to your home. As London is only around an hour or like 50 miles from where I live. 

Not just for the summer months but for all the time I only have my own natural nails. I like the look of longer nails but when you have fake nails like acrylic nails all the time they ruin your nails & they end up making them paper thin like. They then break all the time & you can even be left with ridges in your nails. So I simply try to grow my own. Not only that but it is so much cheaper, healthier & less worry as you do not have to worry about them falling off & things.

But recently my nails have been a bit of a nightmare. They have kept breaking & peeling. They get to a certain length & then they just break. It's so frustrating especially when you are trying to grow them. So I have been on the look out for something to help both strengthen them & help them to grow. 

So I got two treatments from Nail HQ to help do both the things I was looking for. Nail HQ have recently brought out a new generation of nail treatment products. So they literally do something for everyone. No matter what kind of nail treatment you are looking for.

I got two from their range:

Growth - Which contains Biotin & Caffeine. Biotin helps to strengthen your nails. The ingredients in the treatment helps to provide the moisture balance that the nails need in order to prevent them from becoming brittle & breaking. The formula it is made up helps to add moisture to the nails, condition them & also strengthen them. All you have to do it:

*Apply one coat to your natural nails
*You can wear it on its own or apply your nail colour over the top.

Hardener - Which contains Pro vitamin B5. This treatment is especially formulated to help thin & weak nails. It is also created to help enrich your nails ensuring they become tougher & more bend resistant. This product contains collagen & a unique mineral complex infused with Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Aluminium and Manganese. To apply this you:

*Apply one coat to your natural nails
*You can wear it on its own or apply your nail colour over the top.
*Wear 4-5 days remove it & then reapply it.

I have used the treatments both twice now & I have to say my own nails do feel stronger & less brittle already. You can always tell how strong your nails are if you push down on them & they bend easily. But they do not seem to be like that now. You can feel in them that they are stronger. So I am definitely going to carry on using both of these treatments to ensure my nails get stronger & do grow a bit more longer.

True Brit London

Hello Everyone!

Happy Wednesday! Half way through the week now! Woooo.
I have to say at the moment I am feeling slightly better but I am trying to just carry on with my everyday things & ignore things for now. But I know that only works for a short amount of time...

Like every other girl I absolutely love nail varnishes! 
Now I love the look of false nails but I rarely ever have nails like this done simply because I know just how much damage they can cause to your own actual nails. If you have them done too often they make your own nails paper thin & I cannot bare the thought of that. I like my own nails to be healthy. So I do tend to do my own gel nails, like Shellac on my own nails. For those of you who don't know what Shellac is it's a nail varnish which you cure under a UV light, this then lasts for a much longer time than normal nail varnishes. Which I love because It means it doesn't chip as often as what a normal nail varnish would. But from time to time I do let my nail be more natural & I do just use normal nail colours. But I always struggle finding a good brand which I like to use. Because I find some are too thick, or gloppy, or just don't leave a nice finish on your nails & there is nothing worse than spending time painting your nails to find within an hour or so they are chipped & horrible looking. Because let's face it, it really is effect right?

As you may know I proudly LOVE to support british brands when it comes to buying things. Because I do feel it it really important to support a British brand, support someones dream & also because it's made in our own country like why would you not want to support that than buy something from abroad? I'm all not supporting them!

So when I come across True Brit London, I was in love! Because yes as you can tell by the companies name they are a British brand. So yes the nail varnish is born & bred British!

G&T - Because lets face it gin & tonic is a very British drink right? This colour is a metallic foil finish kind of shade. But it also have a slight mauve tint to it. 

Trafalgar - Such an iconic name to pick! This colour is a taupe kind of colour which has a hint of blush pink undertone added to it.

Picnic - Let's face it us Brits all love a good picnic! This shade is more of a sweet lilac one. It reminds me of lavender. It's such a perfect spring colour to wear.

Camden Lock - One of my favourite quirky places in London! This is a cute simple grey kind of tone which has a tint of lilac splashed in helping it give that perfect spring wear colour.

Then also because I get through a lot of the stuff I got the Elderflower & cucumber nail varnish remover. Which removes your nail polish so well. It has a non drying formula which gently helps to re hydrate the nail which some nail varnish removers can do when using them. Plus it smells lovely. Finally not forgetting the lovely glittery nail file which comes in the iconic pillar box red. Which can be used for both natural & artificial nails.

I am just loving this brand! I think it has to now be a new found  favourite of mine if I am honest!

Time To Nail That French KISS!

Happy Saturday! 

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Whatever you are up to. I am having a chilled out of a weekend. I have run a few errands this morning that I needed to do. Plus I also cleaned the inside of my car out. I will admit I never clean my car myself. Yes that may seem lazy but I would much rather pay someone to do it than actually do it myself.

As I am a qualified beautician I love to have my nails looking nice at all times. I don't tend to go to places to have them done, I just stick to doing them myself as it is far cheaper & less hassle. I don't really like having acrylics because the few times I have had them they have left ridges in my nails or made my nails feel horrible they have been taken off. Plus they also make your own natural nails go so paper thin after. I do shellac nails on my own a lot of the time because they don't chip like normal nail varnish. They last & are so much more harder wearing than normal nail varnish.

I have tried stick on nails before but I will admit I haven't tend to have like them simply because the glue doesn't make them stick well or the glue has been so strong I've ended up sticking my own nails together. Yes I know a nightmare! But I was only young at the time! 

I recently come across a company called Kiss who are a large manufacturer & supplier of of nail products all around the world.
Kiss did just start off in America in walmart & walgreens. But they have grown & grown. Allowing people to get salon results in the comfort of their own home. Which makes our lives so much easier. They have not expanded to nail art, nail care, manicure & pedicure tools & now lash & brow kits! These can be brought in several different of your local shops such as boots, superdrug & also online. 

They do so many lovely designs of their nails! 
They do glitter gel like nails these are the gel fantasy nails - rock candy. Which I absolutely love the look of. For ones which you don't have to use glue for they do also do self adhesive ones. These are simply peel off removal nails. These come in so many different designs. So for a night out or a special occasion these are perfect & look so good! 

But I have gone for the more natural looking nails which are in fact glue on nails. I have gone for the french nail effect. Because I also think these look so nice & natural. The nails come in different lengths. So if you don't like having long nails they are also available in shorter lengths. I don't like having too long nails because I feel like you cant do anything with them. Especially when I have to use a keyboard at work you really can't type with them. But the fact you can have shorter nails is great because I have found the length of them is perfect! 

I purchased one box of real short length, two different styles of medium length nails, a brush on nail glue which is simply like a nail varnish. You simply brush the glue on to your own natural nail & a little on to the nail & hold it in place on the nail for a few seconds. Just so it bonds to your own nail. I have had my first set of the nails on for like three days & touch wood I have only had one nail come off! Which I think is pretty impressive! The glue bonds so well & really does stick the nails on.

I will defiantly be trying these again because the glue is so easy to use & mess free being a more brush on glue. I will be trying the other styles once these ones I currently have on have come off.
