Elf Cosmetics Review

I have recently started using a new brand of make up which I haven't tried before Elf Cosmetics. Elf cosmetics was founded in 2004 to make luxurious, high quality beauty products. Who have become one of the fastest growing beauty companies especially in the United States. They are affordable prices which makes it even better!

I got a number of products to try:

Matte Oil Control Mask 

A Kaolin clay & tea tree mask, This mattifying clay mask helps to draw out impurities and excess oil to give a clearer complexion. It is infused with Kaolin clay, tea tree & willow bark, which leaves the skin leaving clear, smooth & shine free.

Prep & Hydrate Balm 

This is a clear, cooling balm which helps hydrate & prep skin before make up application. It is enriched with purified water, Shea & Vitamin E to help nourish & moisturise. It is perfect for daily use & can be used on areas such as the face, hands, elbows or knee's. 

Chromatic Eyeshadow Palette - Bird Of Paradise & Posh Peacock

This palette contains the most pigmented rich formulas which blend effortlessly. It comes with 7 colours from matte to metal. Enriched with Vitamin E & Jojoba Oil. The Bird of paradise palette is more nudes & purple shades, where as the Posh peacock palette is greens & a couple of nudes.

Colour Correcting Stick - Correct The Red

The colour correcting stick helps to balance & correct the skin tones. The green colour helps to reduce redness like Rosacea, sunburn or blemishes. It is also infused with Vitamin E to hydrate the skin.

Flawless Face Brush

A soft brush which lets you apply product with the lightest touch for a sheer natural effect. The slight point fits nicely in the contour of the face for a more precise placement. Also a beveled tip brush is perfect. Can be used for powders or blush or bronzer. 

Illuminating Face Primer - Radiant Glow

A multi purpose primer which preps your skin & fills in the fine lines so that make up applies evenly to give a long lasting luminous finish. 

Shimmer Highlighting Powder - Starlight Glow & Sunset Glow

A lightweight pressed shimmer highlighting powder which helps amplify your natural glow. Microfine particles blur lines to help create a soft focus effect on the skin. It is perfect for dusting over your cupid's bow, cheekbones or bridge of your nose.

Lip Exfoliator - Brown Sugar

This has to be one of my favourite products of theirs! It is a gentle exfoliate lips to remove dry, chapped skin. It is a sweet sugar which gives a smooth sensation infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape & Jojoba Oil to help nourish & protect.

Lip Plumping Lip Gloss - Champagne Glam 

This gloss helps plump your lips for a nourishing hydration. A high shine formula which gives a soothing sensation while volumising. It is packed with Vitamin E & Coconut oil help nourish & hydrate the lips. It helps give a natural shade of shimmering.

Kiss Products

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all having a good & productive week. My week has continued to be boring not being able to do a lot due to my foot injury so I cannot wait till it is healed & I can get back to normal.

I have always been a huge lover of Kiss products. Their Impress nails are my ultimate favourite. They come in so many different designs & although they are only glue tabs on them they last at least a week & go strong. I am not a fan of glue on nails simply because I do not like how they leave your nails afterwards so I tend to steer away from them.

I cannot recommend their nails enough! People always compliment me on them too thinking they are real & when you tell them they are simply stick on nails they cannot believe how good they look & also how well they fit to your own nails.

My favourite collection from their nails are the imPress press on manicure - one step gel. They come in many different designs so you are spoilt for choice! No glue is needed you simply clear your nails & file them, then select the right size nail for you, then remove the tab from the back of the glue patch, then simply push it onto your own nail for around 30 seconds. It will then be firmly stuck down! It is that simple & easy to transform your nails.

Another collection of their nails are the gel fantasy which also come in many different designs. These ones come with either glue or glue tabs. Depending on what you want to use. I always tend to go for the glue tabs as I previously advised. So you just select the right size nail & glue tab, peel off one side of the glue tab & stick it to the false nail, then peel off the other side, once you have done this push it down to your natural nail for around 30 seconds. Then ta dah you have transformed your nails!

The other product I am a lover of, of their's is their false lashes! I have tried them before previously & one of them has become my favourite style of lashes! This is little black dress from the Lash Couture faux minx collection. They are subtle but gives you a fuller lash which I love. They are also pretty lightweight so you don't even know you are wearing them.

But if you like a more fuller, bold lash then there is something for you! The lashes from the Lash couture 5th avenue collection & Lash couture triple push up collection are perfect. They are gorgeous & complete any make up look especially for a night out.

I hope you are well & had a good weekend & start to the working week.

I literally cannot believe how quick Christmas is now coming round. Or is that just me? The lead up to christmas always goes so fast. You start the your advent calendar & thats it.

One of the things that I think most people forget over Christmas is to take time out for themselves & have a little pamper session. Because let's face it there is always so much to prepare for when it comes to Christmas. Sometimes you need some time to unwind & de-stress. Not only that but we all need that bit of TLC that you deserve.

What better to have on a night in than tea! 
Clipper tea is a UK brand founded in Dorset in 1984. They were also the first UK company to create fair trade tea. All of their products are natural even down to the actual tea bags material. Most tea bags are bleached to make them the pearly white colour that they are but not Clipper's tea bags. Which is why you may notice they are not the perfect white colour. Clipper sell not only different tea's ranging from Green Tea, everyday tea, white tea, coffee, hot chocolate & other hot drinks. I have recently been trying to be a bit of a health geek so I have tried the organic pure green tea. They come in cute tea tea caddies with clip to keep them fresh. Christmas Sparkles

I hope you are all well & having a fab week.
The countdown to christmas has begun & already the days are flying by & christmas day is nearly here.
I literally do not know where time goes or is that just me?!

One of the best things about Christmas is all the glitter you can get away with especially when it comes to make up looks! You can apply as much glitter to your eye lids as you like & look sassy as.

I have been looking for a eyeshadow palette which includes glitter eye shadows but it can be tricky to find one that gives you just that. All of them seem to be just basic shades or pigmented colours. 

So when I come across Jolie Beauty I was very happy!
Jolie Beauty is based in the UK, everything they sell is cruelty free, not tested on animals & they favour vegan products where they possibly can. They also regularly donate to animal charities & help promote awareness towards animal testing. Which I think there isn't enough brands out there that do anything like this. It is literally unheard of!

So I picked the Luxe Glitter Palette which comes with 5 eye glitters & 5 matte shades. So you can use both the matte & the glitter shades to create the perfect christmas eye make up look.

The shades go from a pale pink all the way into a deep pink rust. Then each matte shades has a glitter colour to match it! The eyeshadows are even water resistant! The colours are so pigmented & such amazing quality I literally cannot get enough of them!

I had previously tried Nuxe Paris from a previous month's subscription from Love me beauty & loved the hair, face & body oil. So I was excited to see another product from Nuxe to try.

This moisturiser contains plant milks & Algae extract which helps to provide 48 hours of hydration. It soothes & protects the skin from pollution leaving it feeling soft & fresh. 

You can apply the cream morning or night or both everyday to the face & neck area.

So Susan - Lip Dome Plumping Lip Tint - Shade: Mango

Then I saw this I thought it looked like a giant crayon I have to say. This is a great long wearing lip tint & hydrating balm. It is a non drying, pigmented colour, which helps give you full looking lips. It is packed with micro-particles of hyaluronic acid & tripeptide which helps increase the lips volume & helps them prevent the loss of collagen. It comes in 4 great shades! So there is a colour for everyone. The shade I have Mango is a deep pink kind of shade perfect for the autumnal season.

Jelly Pong Pong - Play Paint - Velvety Lip/Cheek Cream

I have tried a lip crayon from Jelly Pong Pong before & was pretty impressed with it. So to try another of their products I was looking forward to. This is a velvet like texture cream which is meant to give you 10 hours of wear for your lips & cheeks. It contains Pumpkin seed oil to help damaged skin & Rhubarb extract to protect the skin from moisture lost throughout the day. 

So Susan - Haute Light - Highlighting Pencil

Another product from So Susan in this month's subscription. 

This is a universal ivory cream crayon which helps you highlight those best places. It is made with white truffle extract to help reduce bags under your eyes & help increase your skins elasticity. Being a pencil it is so easy to use & blend. You can blend it onto your brow bones, cheek bones & dark circles. To help boost your skin's radiance. You can also highlight the bridge of your nose & your cupid's bow. 

Jelly Pong Pong - Bare Necessities - Highlighting Pencil

This highlighting pencil is more of a peachy tone compared to the more ivory shade of the So Susan pencil. But again it can be used in the same way. This has many uses: eyeshadow base, waterliner & concealer. Like the So Susan highlighting pencil it can be used to blend onto your forehead, cheek bones, brow bone & along the bridge of your nose.

Hot Cloth Cleanser - Skin Truth

Hope you are well.

Previously I've posted about a new Skincare brand which I started to try "Skin Truth". I had previously heard of them through being a beautician as I have used some of their products while training & things. But I had never tried the skin care products on myself. I had looked at them when going to Pro Beauty at the Excel but never actually brought the skin care range.

So I thought I would bite the bullet & try some out for myself. As it's always good finding new products which work well on your skin especially if you've had great experiences from previous products of theirs.

Skin Truth is a professional beauty range which includes advanced ingredients while giving a enhanced salon experience. All their products are also Paraben, Sulphate & Mineral oil free. They literally also have a range to suit everyone for everything from skin care, to manicure products to aromatherapy goods. You can purchase them from Salons who stock them, from beauty shows, to beauty trade shops or even online to try them for yourself. But I am literally so impressed with the range of products they have to offer.

The products I tried previously were more catered to my skin type but in with my skincare routine I am forever using No 7's hot cloth cleanser & muslin. It literally is my go to product & I cannot get enough of it. I use it both day & night.

So I thought I would give another Hot cloth cleanser a go & decided to try the Skintruth one. 

The Hot cloth cleanser is more of a deep cleanser which it perfect for all skin types. It is packed with Eucalyptus oil which uplifts & rejuvenates the skin. It removes impurities & any stubborn make up. It is also packed with Cocoa butter & Aloe Vera which is great to help soothe & replenish the skins moisture. 

The cleanser is perfect for:
*Deeply cleansing the skin 
*Leaving it feeling soft & radiant
*Uplifting
*Removing any dirt & impurities

Most Hot cloth cleansers do come with a muslin face cloth too which is what you should use when using the cleanser but I will admit I don't always use the cloth & just use it as a deep cleanser. 

It is so simple to use yet so effective I find. You simply:

*Massage the cleanser onto your face & neck
*Make the muslin cloth damp with warm water
*Place the muslin cloth over your face to help open up your pores & soak the cleanser in or you can just simply use the cloth to wipe off the cleanser.
*Splash you face with cold water to close your pores 
*Dry your face

It's literally that simple to use & easily one of the best skin care products I have found to include in with my skin care routine. 

Price wise it is around the same kind of price as what I pay for No 7's hot cloth cleanser & I have to say it is on par with it! I was so impressed! So if like me you like your hot cloth cleanser or perhaps you want to try one which is good for all skin types this is perfect for you!

The Perfect Brow

The nights are definitely drawing in now & autumn is on its way. You can tell the weather is cooling down, nights getting darker earlier. I don't know whether I'm glad or not.

To me having great looking eye brows are important. I think they finish off any make up look & they look great even with the natural kind of make up look. Because lets face it there is nothing worse than a untidy, bushy, harsh brow. Some people's you can tell as they don't look natural & they look drawn on with harsh lines & for me that is not a great look.

I love finding a good pomade or brow powder but recently I have come across something different I have not tried before from Eye Of Horus Cosmetics which is an Australian brand. They provide an eye make up range which is based on the formula of the ancient Egyptians which include organic moringa oil "oil of the pharaoh's" & ancient castor oil. They believe eye make up offered a magical power & protection to the wearer. Over a short period of time Eye of Horus has already become a cult favourite of celebrities & professional make up artists. It can also be found in countries such as New Zealand, Ireland, Iceland, Hong Kong, the Philippines, UK & Europe! They have also had some of their products voted the best product at the International spa & beauty awards in 2014, 2015 & 2016! Their products are NOT tested on animals, made of natural ingredients, paraben free & vegan friendly. 

The product I have picked up from their range is the Brow fibre extend. For people who have sparse eyebrows this item is perfect! Because the fibres literally fill in the area you do not have much hairs or if you are just looking for a product to give you a fuller brow look then this is literally perfect for you! 

It gives you an instant definition & volume to your brows in just one application you can notice the difference. It contains organic brow enhancing botanicals such as seaweeds & Moringa oil which help to assist hair growth.It thickens & lengthens your brows but still keeps them natural looking. So you don't have to worry about that harsh line look. 

The brow fibre extend contains mineral pigments to give your brows a subtle colour so it comes in 3 shades: light (husk - for blondes), medium (dynasty - for blondes wanting darker brows or light brunettes) & dark (nile - for dark brown/black hair). It sets your brows it is also long lasting so you don't have to keep reapplying it. Which is also a bonus lets face it.

It is so so simple to use & to apply. When I first saw it I was not convinced that it would work well & it would be a nightmare to apply but it is actually so simple. I hope your week is going well & it isn't going too badly for you.
I have gone back to work this week after my operation & I have to say I am shattered. It really has taken it out of me that's for sure. But I shall get there.

With the warm weather & in general I do seem to suffer with dry or chapped lips. In the winter they do tend to become a lot drier however recently I have started using a different high street brand Carmex.Who have recently brought out a summertime lip balm - lime twist.

Carmex have been providing relief to dry lips since 1937 & can be found in so many shops on the high street. They have provided us with so many different types of lip balms over the years, but this one I have to say simply because it gives a summer vibe. So this is perfect to carry around in perhaps your beach bag on the go or even your handbag whether it be for summer days or winter. There is always a use for a lip balm in your bag I have found because you can always reapply then. Carmex helps to keep your lips hydrated & keep them fully protected to leave you with smooth lips. The latest edition to Carmex - Lime Twist also comes with SPF15 So it definitely means it is great to apply after swimming, being exposed to sunlight or wind etc. Carmex definitely has to be one of the best lip balms I have used because of the moisture it brings to your lips & also the fact it is amazing value for money!

Also previously in one of my posts I mentioned about a make up brand Pur when I tried one of their compact eyeshadow palettes. Well they




have recently brought out Velvet matte liquid lipsticks & On point lip liners which come in the most gorgeous shades!

The velvet matte lipsticks come in a mousse like texture which give you a long lasting flawless matte finish. Without that drying look to your lips. Mandara Spa are one of my favourite brands for bath products!
Mandara spa was founded in Bali where it began its spa journey to help pass the healing desire on to people of the likes of us to help them relax & seek solace. There are now over 50 Mandara spa's all over the world! The body lotion contains skin nourishing ingredients such as cocoa butter, vitamin E & pleasure oil. Their products I have found are always such amazing salon like quality which leave your skin feeling amazing.

IZ Beauty Blooming Beautiful Collection - Shade: 836 Lily Romance
Iz Beauty was founded by an expert of the nail industry & offers professional quality nail products. I am such a sucker for nail products, especially nail varnishes! The colour of the nail varnish I received is perfect for both the spring or the summer I believe. It is a lovely baby pink or like strawberry milkshake kind of shade. Perfect floral like colour. Which this time of year I love to have my nails painted such colours.

Monu Skin - Hydrating Mask 
Monu Skin are a brand who are against animal testing, made in the UK & are made of the best natural ingredients. This mask is great for anyone who has dry skin because it hydrates the skin. Which is perfect for the summer when the sun dries out your skin. It is a rich & creamy mask which contains Geranium Oil, Royal Jelly, Evening Primrose & other ingredients. You simply apply it to your face twice a week, leave it on for 10-15 minutes & then rinse it off. You can even leave the mask on overnight to give it that extra TLC.

Wilkinson Sword Intuition Ultra Moisture Razor
Everyone has heard of Wilkinson sword. They have to be one of the top brands of razors! In the summer us girls all have to shave our legs a lot because lets face it we all have our legs out wearing shorts, or dresses & things. But it can take its toll on your skin. But with this Intuition Ultra Moisture razor it has a built in moisturising bar which foams up all itself without the use of soap or any other product! So it leaves your skin feeling soft & smooth.
 It even contains Shea Butter in it to help moisturise your legs. That is definitely me sold.

I have to say from the items I have received in this box I love Roccabox! Some boxes I have found you only tend to get more sample sizes but the majority of these products in this box are FULL size items which cost more than you pay the box overall. To me that is a winner!
