Perfect Glasses

I hope you are well, how dull is the weather currently?

I feel like it hasn't stopped raining recently & being cold. I know it's winter & you should expect the cold weather but the rain is just annoying. I literally hate cold & wet weather. 

For those of you who don't know, or you may well know I do wear glasses. I don't have to wear them all the time but for computer work, reading & when watching the television for a long period of time I have to wear glasses. Which to begin with I hated, I hated the fact I had to wear them but now they do not bother me in the slightest but that is simply because I now make sure I buy pairs of glasses that I like the wear & feel suit me which is a huge thing when buying glasses.

Previously I have purchased glasses & sunglasses from an online website: Perfect Glasses which I have to say I do love. Simply because they have such a vast choice of both glasses, sunglasses both prescription & normal sunglasses to chose from. Whether it be designer glasses or even a cheaper cost frame there literally is something to suit everyone!

The designer frames are my favourite simply because I always love the style that they do & yes I am a bit of a label lover. Perfect glasses cover the more high end designers like Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Marc Jacobs & then brands such a Hugo Boss, Police, Lacoste, just to name a few. But even if it isn't a higher market brand you are looking for then there is other cheaper options to chose from but even the designer frames are half price & you can pick a pair of glasses up for such a good price! especially compared to your usual high street optician. 

People maybe less likely to buy glasses online simply because unlike in a shop you cannot try any on. But on perfect glasses you can take a picture of yourself & then try the frames you want to on your face. So you can see what they look like on. Because I always find a frame that I might like might not necessarily suit my face shape & things. So it is important to be able to try them on before you buy them. This way it means you can buy online & get better prices! So it is a win, win!

Currently at the minute I am happy with the glasses I have so I decided to look for some new sunglasses simply because I don't have any prescription sunglasses with my latest prescription on them. Especially when at this time of year the sun is low & when driving it can be a nightmare trying to see, plus with summer on it's way it's good to have sunglasses with your prescription lenses in them because you may need them when outside. 

I knew the kind of style I was looking for which did help but the website is easy to use as you can filter down what you looking for whether it be gender, brand, price, material, colour. So this makes life easier. Normally I do tend to go with a black frame & dark lenses but this time I fancied a change. I wanted to go for a more tortoise shell frame which I love. Because I find them stylish, chic & also suit my colouring of hair, etc. Then I wanted more of like a block frame rather than a rounded shape frame. So by knowing what I was looking for it did help narrow my search down. The frame is a plastic frame but has soft nose pads to help with comfort. So these for me were the perfect choice for what I was looking for. Not only that but they were under £100. So such a bargain & value for money! Plus they come a case & micro fibre cloth to ensure you can keep them clean & not scratch the lenses.

Get Flip Flop Ready

I hope you are having a fab week & it is not going too bad for you?

I know right now I wish I was on a beach, sipping cocktails, soaking up the sun in a bikini. But that could not be anymore further than how things are right now. Instead I'm working & the weather is not really holiday weather. How rubbish is that?

I always think for the summer there certain summer preparations that are needed. Whether you are going on holiday or not they are essential I think. Especially when in the summer you are wearing less clothes & you have your feet out. There is nothing worse than seeing someone who has flip flops on but they have dry, cracked balls of the feet, or long unpainted toe nails. Just anything that does not look nice. I cannot bare that at all. I mean your feet are hidden under socks all winter so for the summer they definitely need some TLC.  

Superdrug have recently launched a whole new range especially created for the summer to make sure you have the perfect flip flop feet all ready for your holiday season. Life Is Better With A Lusso Tan

Happy Sunday Everyone!

This weekend is yet again another bank holiday weekend & are we happy about this? Hell yes! I know I am. I did do some overtime at work yesterday so I did lose my Saturday but being bank holiday it means I still get my equivalent of a weekend. So it's not really all that bad right?

I really want to go on holiday however due to health at the moment I cannot go on holiday abroad which sucks because I really just want to get on a plane & go to some lovely hot place, lay by the pool or on a beach, sipping cocktails & getting a tan. But I can't :( 

So instead I have to settle for tan in a bottle, but it is true what they say life is better with a tan. I always feel better when I have a tan rather than be pale. It just makes me feel better in myself. That may seem silly I am aware. But I can't be the only one that thinks that right?

I have always been one for trying out different tans. Some I have got on with & some I haven't. But over the last few days I have tried a brand called Lusso Tan which is a new brand & I believe are going to become really popular! What is even better is their products do not contain Parabens or Alcohol. Which is great because they do not dry your skin out which some of them can. 

To get the best out of any tan not just Lusso Tan you have to make sure you prep your skin before applying the tanning lotion to it. So the first product I used from Lusso Tan was the primer.
The primer comes in a spray bottle which makes it so easy to use & to apply to the skin. The mist cleanses the skin of impurities, rebalances your PH level & also hydrates & protects your skin. It leaves your skin feeling soft & dirt free ready for the next step to tan. 

To use the primer you just simply:

*Lightly spray the mist primer over your face & body & then gently 
pat any excess away with a towel or paper towel.

*Then apply the tanning lotion straight away after applying the primer.

I found the primer did not have any horrible smell to it & it dries pleasantly too. It doesn't leave your body feeling greasy or oily at all which I was surprised as some I have used the primer always leaves your skin feeling horrible.

After applying the primer I applied the Self Tan lotion for face & body for Lusso Tan. Which is in the shade Medium. I picked Medium because I am dark haired I like to look like I actually have a tan so a light colour doesn't really do anything for me but for more pale skinned people it is perfect. But I don't like the dark shades because I then feel like it is too overpowering for me. So for me it is Medium every time.

The most important thing to remember when applying any tan is to use a proper mitt or glove to apply it with other wise you will end up with orange hands & I cannot stand it when you see people walking 
round with the brightest orange hands going. So when applying my lotion I used the tanning mitt from Lusso tan. Which I have to say is so so soft! Other mitts I have used have just been made out of foam like material but this one is so much of a better quality & will not absorb through to your hands & turn them orange which is the most important thing.

The tanning lotion is formulated to help hydrate your skin & ensure it does not dry it out. It gives a gorgeous tan to your skin that will last up to 7days. I have found that it is a buildable tan which also comes in different shades so there is something for every skin tone! It is also tinted so you can see where you are applying it to help leave you with a streak free tan. Not only that but I have found it fast drying! It dries within like 60seconds so you can get dressed quickly after applying it.



To apply the self tan simply:

*Apply some tan to the Lusso tan mitt & apply it after you have primed your skin.

*Start at the ankle, sweep the lotion upwards in long & gentle strokes.

*Then turn the mitt back to front & apply to the back of your 
legs.

*Finish by gliding the last of the lotion on the mitt over your hands & feet.


*Leave the tan 4-8 hours before showering to let the tan develop.

I applied it to my whole body so I could have an all over tan so I could see what colour the lotion really leaves you with. I have to say I was so pleased with the colour it left me with! It has definitely given me that sun-kissed look. Not only that it does not give that horrible biscuit like smell which some tanning lotions can give you & I hate that kind of scent to a product. 

Then for an extra holiday tan look they do a finishing touch shimmer. Which you can sweep along your cheekbones, collarbone, shoulders to give that extra sun-kissed glow! Or if you want you can mix it with a moisturiser to give an all over body shimmer. It is such a gorgeous shimmery colour!

So overall I am so happy with the quality of the tanning products from Lusso tan. They are such great quality & do not leave you with horrible smelling, dry, orange skin. It does leave you with that holiday tan look which is perfect for me seeing as I cannot get a 
real one abroad at the minute.

Winter Sun

Happy Sunday everyone!
I know I think I say it every week but that's another week gone by & Christmas is now fast approaching us. I really do not understand where this year has gone. Or is it just me who feels like this year has flown past?! I don't think I'm the only one to think it...

I am off work this week coming too so I plan on chilling out abit & catching up on a few things. As well as some appointments I have during the week. So no doubt it will fly by.

This year I did not get to go on holiday abroad. Much to my disappointment.. I think I'm at that age now where like all of my friends have children of their own so when you're single, don't have your own children but your friends do it's a lot harder to find someone to go away with. Either that or I'm just abit of a Larry... But that's the joys of it when you get older I guess.

I absolutely love going on holiday! Especially abroad! I love visiting new countries & taking it in. Not to mention the lovely warm, sunshine. I like to have a decent tan. After all life is much better with a tan. That much is so true! Especially this time of year with the weather being so horrible & when things are rubbish I just want to go away someone lovely & warm & be on a beach sipping cocktails. If only!

So during the winter I do at times like to fake things abit & have abit of a tanning session. Especially on a night out & your legs are out. I don't wish to be mistaken for a snowman or something! So I find a decent fake tan & make up to help compliment a healthy glow. To fake that I may have been away loving life in the sun. Because let's face it we all do it at times.

I have recently come across Sunkissed. A brand of products to help you get that sunkissed look. They sell a number of different products from tan, to bronzer, highlighter to gift sets. All the products you need to give you that healthy glow! Sunkissed products are a firm favourite of make up artists, beauty industry insiders, bloggers like myself & other people. They were also shortlisted at the 2016 beauty awards. So people are definitely loving their products.

Two essential products when you have tanned is a bronzer & highlighter. Not only can they be used to help you achieve that more tanned, healthy glow look but it can also be used as a contour &
 highlighter product for your everyday look. I will admit I cannot go a day now without contouring in some way.

So I have got the Sunkissed high lights & the Sunkissed Moroccan escape set. Which contains a huge bronzer also combined with a highlighter & also comes with a lip crayon.

The high lights comes in a squeezy tube which can be used in two different ways. You can mix a little bit of the high lights in with your foundation to give the whole of your face that healthy glow. Or you can just dab a little to the tops of your cheeks, down your nose, under the brow & my favourite your Cupid's bow. This will give it that healthy glow shimmery look. When i tried abit of the high lights on my hand for the first time I was amazed by the shimmer & texture! It's such a nice creamy feel which doesn't feel too heavy on your skin & it gives such a lovely shimmery colour to your skin.

The bronzer is as it says a nice warm brown shade, with the highlighter in the compact one of those lovely gold shimmery shades. It's actually a gorgeous shade. I do love a good shimmery highlighter I must say! The bronzing powder can be applied with a brush to the face & body & can just be washed off. Or like I said previously you can use it as a contouring & highlight product.

The lip crayon comes in a quite berry pink kind of shade. It's not like one of those bright pink shades. You could definitely get away with using it as a winter kind of colour. Which is nice & easy to apply being in the crayon form that it is in.

I will definitely be trying out there tanning range after trying these three products out. I have to say I am impressed with the quality for the price of them & aren't one of those bad smellying kind of products either.
